The Akron Zoo has announced that the Mike & Mary Stark Grizzly Ridge will open July 20, 2013. The new 3.5 acre exhibit, named after Stark & Knoll Co-Founding Partner, Mike Stark and his wife Mary, will house black bears, birds, otters and other animals.

Tom Knoll recently became a Trustee of the GAR Foundation, one of the largest private foundations in Summit County. GAR Foundation’s strategic priorities include education, health and social services, civic enhancement, arts and arts education and non-profit enhancement.

Stark & Knoll was recognized by U.S. News and World Report and Best Lawyers with the highest possible rankings in Commercial Litigation, Corporate Law, Litigation – Eminent Domain & Condemnation, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants and Trusts and Estates Law.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals North Central Chapter presented Tom Knoll and his wife, Ginny, along with Tom and Sue Strauss with the organization’s Outstanding Fundraiser award.

Nine attorneys from Stark & Knoll were selected for inclusion on the 2013 Ohio Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. Selected were, Phil KaufmannJohn SusanyDave BertschDave HilkertChris TippingOrville Reed and Craig Marshall. Selected as 2013 Rising Stars were Donald Scherer and Harold Schwarz.

Tadd Schwarz was recently selected to the 2013 Class of Torchbearers, a young professional organization focused on building a better Greater Akron community through leadership development and service.
