Business Services Group Attorney Donald Scherer was recently selected to Leadership Akron Class XXIX. Leadership Akron, “helps leaders see beyond their own spheres to the bigger picture of the community, and inspire them to become more effectively involved as community leaders.” Stark & Knoll graduates of Leadership Akron include Jeff Knoll and Michael George.

In September Craig Marshall started his position as Chairman of the Walsh Jesuit High School Board of  Directors and its Executive Committee. Craig, a graduate of Walsh, will serve a two year term as board chairman for a total of six years on the school’s board of directors.

Also serving his alma mater of Walsh Jesuit High School is Litigation Attorney Harold “Tadd” Schwarz. Tadd is assisting the high school and board as a member of its Human Resources Committee. In addition, Tadd is using his litigation and employment experience to assist the Goodwill of Akron in their Human Resource/ Workforce Development and Risk Management Committees.

Ralph Waszak recently spoke to the Akron Kiwanis Club about volunteerism on behalf of the Bridgestone Invitational. Ralph has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Northern Ohio Golf Charities, the charitable arm of the Bridgestone invitational since 2005.

Estate Planning and Probate Attorney Philip Kaufmann gave a presentation covering special needs planning and guardianships at the Autism Family Foundation. The two also spoke to a group at Summa Barberton and Summa Wadsworth-Ritman Hospital where they gave a presentation on Estate Planning in Unc
