Stark & Knoll’s Litigation and Employment Group Grows

Akron, Ohio -  Stark & Knoll is pleased to announce the addition of Michael T. Altvater as an associate in its Litigation and Employment Group.

Altvater is a graduate of The University of Akron School of Law and Wright State University with a Bachelor of Journalism. At the University of Akron, he was President of the Moot Court Honor Society and a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team. Most recently, he worked as a Judicial Attorney for Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas.

Altvater will work closely with Stark & Knoll’s insurance defense attorneys to represent insurance companies and their insureds in litigation matters in a variety of areas including personal injury, business, employment, commercial and products liability defense litigation.

A resident of Akron, Altvater has volunteered his time and legal expertise to the Summit County community through the Fugitive Safe Surrender Program and the OpenM Legal Clinic for which he was awarded the United Way of Summit County’s Outstanding Volunteer Award. In 2010, he coached The University of Akron’s championship Moot Court Team.
